Manchester Man Accused Of Violating Marblehead MA Man’s Privacy At Hooksett Rest Area

HOOKSETT, NH — A man from Manchester will be arraigned in district court on Thursday, accused of violating another man’s privacy at a rest area in Hooksett last year.

Terry A. Hodgman, 63, of Calef Road in Manchester, was arrested on April 2 on a violation of privacy-use, install device charge.

According to New Hampshire State Police, Hodgman used an Apple iPhone “for the purpose of observing, photographing, recording, amplifying, broadcasting, or in any way transmitting images or sounds of the private body parts” of another man at the Hooksett Welcome Center on the northbound side of Interstate 93 on April 10, 2024, according to a Case Summary report. The areas of the victim’s body that may have been affected by the incident included “his genitalia, buttocks, or his body underneath his clothing without his consent, and while he was entitled to privacy.”

The victim was recorded while using a toilet stall in the restroom, the report stated. The victim in the case was a man in his mid-20s from Marblehead, Massachusetts.

It is unknown how state police came to learn about the case or why it took nearly a year to make an arrest. The public information officer for the state police said no other information was available about the case.

A court official stated there were no other criminal offenses against Hodgman in New Hampshire.

Hodgman was released on personal recognizance bail on April 14. He is due to appear in Hooksett District Court on Thursday.
