CONCORD, NH — Corey M. Lakevicius, 55, of King Street in Boscawen was arrested at 10:20 p.m. on Nov. 19, 2020, on driving under the influence and breach of bail charges. Officers were sent to the parking lot of the Walmart on Loudon Road for a possible impaired driver. They arrived at the vehicle, a Nissan sedan, with its engine running, and spoke to the driver, Lakevicius, according to an affidavit. Lakevicius, the officer wrote, was giving off "a strong odor" of alcohol while inside the vehicle and also displayed signs of intoxication. The officer wrote that he asked him to step out of the vehicle and Lakevicius stumbled and had to catch himself on the door to prevent himself from falling. After field sobriety tests, he was arrested and held without bail.
Carla L. Hanley, 43, of Plimpton Avenue in the Bronx, New York, was arrested at 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 18 on a driving under the influence charge. Officers were sent to White Park to check on a vehicle where a woman was reportedly inside honking the car's horn and screaming. When they arrived, they found a Nissan with Connecticut plates and the driver "slumped over, passed out in the driver's seat," an affidavit said. The reporting officer banged on the window to wake the driver up and spoke with her. The driver, Hanley, "had glossy eyes and slurred speech," an affidavit stated. When asked how much she had to drink, she said, "a lot," the report alleged. The officer requested Hanley step out of the car for a field sobriety test and the Hanley made derogatory comments to the officer, the report said. She was then arrested. The affidavit accused Hanley of "swearing and yelling," refusing to wear a mask, and making racist and sexual comments against the officer, who is female officer and Caucasian. "It became clear that Carla was not going to cooperate with the booking process," the reporting officer wrote. After refusing a blood test, Hanley was charged and held, the affidavit stated.
