Pittsfield Man Tried To Frame Woman With False Allegation: Docs
Court: A warrant was filed against Guy Hanson after he allegedly claimed a woman who was staying at a Concord hotel smashed his glass door.

PITTSFIELD, NH — A local man with previous troubles with police is in more hot water after allegedly filing a false report against a woman, according to Pittsfield Police. A warrant was issued against Guy Hanson, 57, of Chestnut Street in Pittsfield, on July 7, for unlawful report to law enforcement and default or breach of bail conditions. According to an affidavit, on June 23 at around midnight, an officer was called to Hanson’s home for a report of a criminal mischief incident.

The officer headed to the home, a location he was “familiar with” due to “previous incidents.” Dispatch stated that Hanson allegedly said he would be defending himself “like he did last time” and that the woman was probably heading to a local store. The officer headed to the store but didn't see the woman. So he drove over to Chestnut Street and spoke with Hanson. Hanson alleged that the woman – who was the victim in a previous case involving Hanson back in May where he allegedly attacked her with a baseball bat – attempted to break into his home and smashed a glass door. When asked what the woman was wearing, Hanson reportedly stated a grey top, with shorts, and that she was “heavily intoxicated.”
The officer took pictures of the damage, searched the area, and then, went to the woman’s home. Dispatch then called the officer about a Concord Police incident at the Fairfield Inn involving the woman and a complaint about room charges.

The officer then went back to speak with Hanson to ask him, again, if he was sure that the woman in question had smashed the door. Hanson stated that he was “looking at her through the front door,” according to the affidavit.
Hanson was requested to fill out a written statement, which he reportedly did, while the officer contacted Concord Police about the hotel incident. The officer learned that the call was about a harassment allegedly reportedly involving the woman and her boyfriend. Concord dispatch heard the call on the scanner and knew that they were dealing with the woman at the hotel and then reported to Pittsfield Police. Concord Police then faxed all their info to Pittsfield while he went back to speak to Hanson again.
“Hanson stated again that it was definitely her and that she was intoxicated or on drugs,” according to the report. “Hanson stated that she has a restraining order against him and that she was trying to get him into trouble.”
The officer then went and eyed the Concord information including the call log and timeline of the incident at the hotel which began at just after 10:15 p.m. when the hotel called police and lasted until 12:04 a.m. when officers cleared the scene. The officer then visited Google maps and eyed an estimated travel time by motor vehicle from Chestnut Street in Pittsfield to Gulf Street in Concord and found it to be about 22 minutes of travel. The officer then filed a false report warrant and added a breach charge to the warrant and filed it with the district court.
According to the Concord Monitor, not long after this incident, Hanson reportedly began hanging Confederate flags and Nazi paraphernalia outside his home. When he lived in Concord back in June 2011, he was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge, according to a post on Patch.
