Police Arrest Man On Felony Charges After South State Street Shooting In Downtown Concord: Follow-Up
David Anziani faces first-degree and second-degree assault, reckless conduct, and felonious firearm charges after a shooting on Saturday.

CONCORD, NH — A man from Concord was arrested after a shooting in a downtown apartment building on Saturday afternoon.
David E. Anziani, 38, of South State Street in Concord, was arrested on Feb. 21 on first-degree assault, second-degree assault, reckless conduct, and felonious use of a firearm charges, all felonies.
According to Lt. Thomas Yerkes of the department’s bureau of investigations, officers were sent to an apartment between Thompson and Concord streets for a report of a shooting. The shooting was reported by a caller reporting hearing an argument between two men and then a single gunshot.

When they arrived, officers found a man with a bullet wound to the leg. Fire and rescue teams transported the man to Concord Hospital.
Another man was identified as a Woburn, Massachusetts, resident, according to scanner chatter.

According to scanner chatter, Anziani, who was identified as a Massachusetts resident, lawyered up and was taken to the hospital later, complaining of neck and back pain.
Investigators and the city’s K-9 unit were also requested to the scene.
In a video post on Facebook, News 603 reported investigators were at the apartment, and the street was closed to traffic for at least 12 hours after the shooting.
Anziani was held on preventative detention and arraigned on Monday in Concord District Court.
