Reputed Gang Member Wanted On Conditional Release Violations

CONCORD, NH — The District of New Hampshire - New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force is searching for a fugitive on a conditional release violation. Orlando Lewis Carrero, 37, is 5-feet, 7-inches tall, weighs 165 lbs., and has brown eyes and black hair. He has tattoos on his upper arms, left hand, chest, back, and lower arms.

Carrero is originally from New York, according to the U.S. Marshals Service. The warrant for his arrest was issued out of Strafford County on Aug. 21, after a narcotics charge, according to Deputy Jeffrey White.

"Carrero is a reported gang member with an extensive criminal history and is facing a lengthy term of incarceration due to these violations," he said. "Carrero has been known to live in both the Strafford County and Manchester, NH, areas. Carrero also has extensive family ties to New York."

According to posts on Patch, Carrero was arrested in August 2016, on fentanyl and cocaine possession charges. A month later, he was arrested in Greenland on a fentanyl distribution charge and later, indicted on that charge, in 2017.

In 2012, according to other press outlets, Carrero was arrested on two counts of criminal threatening after a Rochester business was evacuated during a "soft lockdown" after a domestic violence report. He was arrested in Somersworth in October 2015, on an interference with custody of a child charge. Carrero was picked up in Portsmouth in 2018, on a warrant, according to Seacoastonline.com.
