Substantial Drug Operation Reported on Thorndike Street

DEA agents set up hazmat scene while searching Concord two-family home; limited details being released by police.

Concord Police and federal drug agents have been sifting through a home and vehicles in the South End of Concord on July 14, 2015, reportedly the location of a substantial drug operation.

Limited information is available about what exactly has been going on at 19 Thorndike St. but police could be seen searching the home, vehicles in a driveway, and speaking to neighbors about activity at the home.

NH 1 News is reporting that the agents were at the home at a little after 1 p.m. to searching for possible drug manufacturing materials. WMUR-TV is reporting that after issuing the search warrant, police called federal officials because the drug manufacturing operation appeared to be substantial. The station is reporting that charges will likely be filed at some point.

The home is owned by Derek Miliotos, a Concord resident who has been arrested previously on drug possession charges earlier this year and various driving charges, according to Concord NH Patch police reports. Miliotos has owned the home since July 2011, according to the city’s assessing database information.

According to previous reports, there has been substantial drug activity in the neighborhood, including officers eyeing the former Rumford Elementary School, which is now an arts center, for drug dealing activity in the parking lot, according to recent scanner chatter.
