CONCORD, NH — Thousands of people were without power after a transformer issue was reported on the Concord Heights near D’Amante Drive Monday.

Just before 11 a.m., Concord fire and rescue teams were sent to the D’Amante Drive and Loudon Road area for a report of an issue with a transformer. About five to 10 minutes before that call, police reported traffic signals out in the area. A few minutes later, Unitil’s outage map began reporting thousands without power, about 14 percent of its customers in the area.
