CONCORD, NH — Law enforcement agencies will be offering an update on a missing New Hampshire girl case on Thursday.

The NH Attorney General’s Office, Manchester police, and the U.S. Marshals Service said Wednesday they would be offering an update to the Harmony Montgomery case at 2 p.m. The girl was last seen alive around October 2019. The search has involved multiple local, regional, state, and federal agencies. Harmony Montgomery was reported missing nearly nine months ago.

Specifics about the announcement or case updates were unknown at post time. But they come about two months after an extensive search of an apartment on Union Street in the Queen City, where the girl lived with her father and stepmother. Investigators were seen moving appliances from the apartment while the city's department of public works employees searched sewer pipes around the apartment building for clues, too.

Before the search on Union Street, investigators were twice at a house on Gilford Street where the family lived. Volunteers also searched a wooded area near the Manchester-Bedford line for clues earlier this year.

Adam Montgomery, Harmony’s father, faces both second-degree assault and child endangerment charges after being accused of beating the girl not long before she was last seen. He also faces several stolen firearms and felon in possession of weapons charges. Adam Montgomery was indicted on the assault and endangerment charges about six months ago. He has a lengthy criminal history dating back to when he was a teenager in Bedford and accused of drug dealing and assault. Adam Montgomery is also a person of interest in an unsolved homicide case in Lynn, MA.

Kayla Montgomery, Harmony’s stepmother, is also facing charges. She has been accused of lying to a grand jury about employment information as well as a felony theft charge for accepting food state benefits while claiming Harmony Montgomery was living with her when she was not. She was also charged with two receiving stolen property charges connected to stolen rifle and shotgun cases from the same period when Harmony Montgomery was last seen — although those charges are not connected to her disappearance.

Harmony’s mother lives in Massachusetts.

The search for Harmony Montgomery continues with officials still requesting the public's assistance locating her. She is white, about 4 feet tall, and weighs around 50 pounds. Harmony Montgomery has blond hair and blue eyes and should be wearing glasses. She is also blind in one eye. There is a $144,000 reward for information leading to her whereabouts.

Anyone with information regarding her disappearance or current whereabouts is asked to call the Manchester Police Department's 24-hour tip line dedicated to her case at 603-203-6060.
