This is the Republican nominee’s third trip to the Granite State in the last six weeks after also holding rallies and events in Manchester and Windham in August. The visit to New Hampshire – one of 10 to 13 “purple” swing states the real estate mogul needs to win in order to become president – comes as the latest national polling data shows a statistical tie with former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

The visit also comes just 24 hours after the state’s largest newspaper, the New Hampshire Union Leader, attacked Trump, calling him a liar and a buffoon, in its endorsement of Libertarian Presidential candidate Gary Johnson. The endorsement is the latest war of words between UL Publisher Joe McQuaid and Trump, who, not that long ago, appeared to be BFFs.
While Clinton appears to have a slight lead in the most recent polling from New Hampshire, other swing state polls have been tightening. With Johnson on all 50 ballots, and data showing that he is pulling support from both Clinton and Trump, as well as Dr. Jill Stein, who also has ballot access in New Hampshire, the general election, which is in 54 days away, appears to be a toss-up.
