Girls Fighting at Concord High School Leads to an Arrest: Log

Concord Police: Elderly man busted with nearly two ounces of pot, Elkins woman arrested for stealing groceries, parolee arrested for heroin.

CONCORD, NH - Daryl G. Gurley, 22, of Scenic Drive in Derry, was arrested at 5 p.m. on Jan. 14, 2016, for felony receiving stolen property. He was served with the arrest at the Merrimack County House of Corrections where he was being held on $2,500 cash bail, due to other charges. “Gurley was very uncooperative, disrespectful, and rude,” the officer alleged. He requested bail and was issued $1,000 cash bail, an amount he was unable to post, so he was held and arraigned on Jan. 15. According to the arrest report, the incident occurred on Dec. 18, 2015, at the Dunkin’ Donuts on Loudon Road. The victim was Sunglass Hut, inside of Macy’s, at the Mall at Rockingham Park in Salem.

Matthew W. Gerrard, 33, of Hall Street in Concord, was arrested at 5:15 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2016, on a bench warrant. He was arrested on Hall Street after police were sent to Northern European Automotive to arrest him on the warrant. Gerrard is due in court on Feb. 8.

Emilie J. Dodge, 45, of Wilmot Circle Road in Elkins, was arrested at 4:19 p.m. on Dec. 21, 2015, for felony theft by unauthorized taking or transfer for allegedly concealing more than $125 worth of groceries in a large purse. Since she was on probation for two previous convictions for shoplifting, in June 2006 and August 2015, the charge was elevated to a felony. She’s due in court on Jan. 25.

Jason R. Cloutier, 24, of Kozy Terrace in Concord, was arrested at 9:52 p.m. on Dec. 11, on two counts of driving while intoxicated. A detective and officer were sent to the Mobile gas station on Whitney Road for a report of an accident and people arguing at the scene. They spoke with the driver of one of the vehicles – Cloutier – who allegedly smelled like alcohol. A female passenger reportedly “intervened” in the conversation and stated that she had been drinking at her home, which is why the officer smelled the odor, according to the report. “Cloutier remained quiet and was not talkative while giving information to (the detective) while she investigated the accident,” the officer alleged. “I observed Cloutier was lethargic in his movements and spent most of his time seated on the curb in front of the Mobil Xtramart store. Cloutier appeared to be emotional for having been involved in such a small accident in which he had opened his door into a vehicle that attempted to park.” Cloutier allegedly had eyes that were glazed over and bloodshot, and was asked to preform a field sobriety test. He was later arrested.

Jorge E. Brea Almanzar, 28, of Water Street in Concord, received a summons for driving after revocation or suspension, at 12:20 p.m. on Nov. 24, 2015, after an officer reportedly saw him using his phone while driving on Storrs Street. He was pulled over at the Burlington Coat Factory and found to have a suspended license on Aug. 5, 2015. He had a court date on Jan. 4.

Kory J. Bowles, 30, of East Side Drive in Concord, was arrested at 3:48 p.m. on Nov. 24, 2015, for two counts of theft by deception and theft by authorized taking or transfer after Walmart employees allegedly caught him stealing a $34.97 flashlight, returning it for a gift card, and then purchasing $25.61 worth of goods. He allegedly also concealed $47.49 worth of sheets and clothing in his backpack. Bowles also had an active theft warrant from an incident on Sept. 3, 2015, at the CVS on Loudon Road, and was arrested. He was arraigned on Jan. 4.

Cara L. Keegan, 46, of Millstream Lane in Concord, was arrested at 6:52 p.m. on Nov. 23, 2015, for simple assault and domestic violence-simple assault. Police were sent to a domestic between three women. When they arrived, the spoke to a man, who was exiting the building, about the situation. The officers then spoke to Keegan, who reportedly stated that one of her relatives had broken into the residence and wouldn’t leave. “Cara said that (the relative) was upset about an incident involving a possible scam … and that a heated argument erupted over the issue,” according to the officer. The argument, she reportedly stated, was verbal only. While continuing to speak with her, the officer asked questions about the incident, and learned that the other relative had a key to the building and had come “face-to-face” with her during the argument. “She admitted that she was very angry and upset about the situation,” according to the report. The officer went to speak to other people in the home and learned that there was an audio recording of the incident on a phone. The other woman stated that Keegan allegedly “attempted to knock her phone down” and “ended up striking (her) in the chest instead.” The officer listened to the phone and stated that it sounded like someone had hit it and then it was dropped. “You just hit her, I am calling the police,” the officer allegedly heard. Keegan was then arrested and was arraigned the next day.

Paul D. Santonelli, 67, of Tenney Brook Road in Plymouth, was arrested at 4:04 p.m. on Nov. 21, 2015, for possession of drugs, possession of controlled drugs, and stop sign violation. Police were sent to the area of Rumford and Washington streets for a report of found property that looked like marijuana. A man stated he was out walking his dog when he saw a suspicious man shaking and scratching his arm, which made the dog nervous, so he left the area. When he returned to the area, while walking back, he found the drug bag. He thought it might be cocaine, so he called police. While walking toward the law center, the man with the dog saw the other man in a Lincoln that was driving away from the area. While taking statements from witnesses, the man drove by the officer and reportedly ran a stop sign, so he gave chase. The officer found the vehicle in the St. Paul’s Church parking lot on Centre Street and allegedly smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle. The driver – Santonelli – reportedly denied that there was any marijuana in the vehicle. A consent search, however, allegedly found three bags of marijuana and seven joints, about 1.78 ounces in total. He was arraigned on Jan. 4.

Craig S. Laber, 53, a homeless man now located in Concord, was arrested at 10:51 a.m. on Nov. 20, 2015, for criminal trespass and two bench warrants. Also receiving a summons for criminal trespass was Shelby E. Weston, 50, a homeless man now located in Concord. Both Laber and Weston were allegedly on the grounds of the New Hampshire Department of Transportation building after previously being told not to be on the property.

Mathia Marriro, 18, of South Street in Concord, was arrested at 8:55 a.m. on Nov. 18, 2015, for criminal trespass and simple assault. The school resource officer at Concord High School was alerted that there was an altercation in the student center between several girls. One of the teachers alleged that one girl had her hair pulled, was struck in the face, and put in a headlock. She was taken to the nurse’s office. The officer spoke to Marriro and numerous witnesses. One of the girls alleged that Marriro sat down next to the girl and stated, “You want to fight at school, let’s fight now.” The other girl said she wasn’t going to fight and then Marriro allegedly grabbed her by the hair and pushed her into a table. She then grabbed Marriro and the two began fighting and screaming obscenities at each other. A teacher later broke up the fight. Another witness shared text messages allegedly between Marriro and another student about scheduling a time to fight. Other witnesses also alleged that Marriro “was yelling” at the other girl while she tried to ignore her. They all alleged that Marriro had started the fight. The SRO spoke to Marriro who allegedly stated that she was 17 but the officer later learned she was 18 and a part-time student at the school. An assistant principal checked her schedule and she reportedly wasn’t supposed to be at the school that day. She was then arrested.

Walter W. Ward, 48, of Hall Street in Concord, was arrested at 1:27 p.m. on Nov. 17, 2015, for simple assault, from an incident on Poplar Avenue on Aug. 7, 2015.

Patricia A. M. Mullen, 18, of Horseshoe Pond Lane in Concord, was arrested at 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 17, 2015, for simple assault and domestic violence simple assault from an alleged incident on Nov. 5, 2015, on Pierce Street.

Christopher A. Klemenc, 20, of Bog Road in Concord, was arrested at 10:17 p.m. on Nov. 13, 2015, for endangering the welfare of a child/incompetent from an alleged incident on Nov. 4, 2015, at the Best Buy on D’Amante Drive.

Kerry L. Persons, 64, of Manchester Street in Concord, was arrested at 6:49 p.m. on Nov. 13, 2015, on two warrants. Police were sent to Manchester Street for a man reportedly on the ground. They found the man on the edge of the pavement near a trailer who appeared to be sleeping. A half empty 750 ml of Smirnoff Vodka was tucked in his rear waistband, according to police. A check of the man – Persons – revealed at simple assault warrant, $3,000 cash bail, and a felony failure to appear warrant on a theft charge, issued out of Hillsborough County, both from October. Persons was arrested and held.

Robert E. McCaulley, 53, of Walker Street in Concord, was arrested at 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 13, 2015, for felony possession of controlled drugs. Officers were sent to an apartment on Walker Street to meet with probation and parole for a report that McCaulley was allegedly found with drugs, specifically, three small bundles of heroin. The drugs were allegedly found under his mattress, according to the report.

Thomas E. McEneany, 28, of Dearborn Road in Pembroke, was arrested at 2:14 a.m. on Nov. 13, 2015, for aggravated driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated, and driving after revocation or suspension after pulling a U-turn in a pickup truck on South Main Street and then parking. As the officer approached, the driver – McEneany – allegedly smelled like alcohol. McEneany reportedly handed the officer a Washington state ID card that expired in two days and stated he didn’t have a license. “I asked Thomas what he was doing and he stated, ‘Just sitting in my friend’s car,’” the officer alleged. “I observed that Thomas had bloodshot red eyes. I asked him who was in the vehicle next to him and he told me they were his friends. Thomas then stated, ‘I wasn’t going to drive and ‘I was going to get a ride from my friends.’” After the officer stated that he saw him pull the U-turn, McEneany stated he just moved it so it wouldn’t get towed. His responses were slow, according to the report. He agreed to a field sobriety test and was arrested. The officer later found out that his license was suspended.
