Court doc: Meghan Brown allegedly grabbed an officer's gun and threatened to kill him after an unconscious person report at the Holiday Inn.

CONCORD, NH — A local woman was arrested and held on cash bail after allegedly threatening to shoot a Concord Police officer while reportedly grabbing for his gun during an incident at the Holiday Inn on North Main Street last month, according to police. Meghan Brown, 33, of South Spring Street in Concord, was arrested on Oct. 27, 2016, for criminal threatening-use of a deadly weapon and taking a firearm from a law enforcement officer, both felonies.

According to an arrest report and court affidavit, an officer and a sergeant were sent to the hotel for a report of an unconscious woman. Dispatch later warned the officers that the woman had a service dog in her room and was “aggressive toward the hotel staff,” while firefighters were also heading to the room. When the reporting officer arrived, he spoke with an EMT, learned it was Brown, someone he had previous contact with, and made his way into the room.

“Inside the room, I saw about 12 empty bottles of wine and you could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage in the air with the scent of urine,” the officer alleged.
EMTs told the officer that Brown had soiled herself and her dog had relieved itself in the room as well. The officer walked over to Brown – who was reportedly on a bed – and asked if she remembered the officer from a few days before.

“Meghan lunged up and shouted, ‘God to f------ hell because I will kill you,’” the officer alleged.
The officer pushed her back down, in order to gain some distance between himself and Brown, while also asking her to calm down. She allegedly lunged up again, in an aggressive manner, and reportedly threatened to punch the officer. The officer pushed her down again and drew his Taser and the pair exchanged words with the officer explaining to Brown that he didn’t want to shoot her and the Taser would not kill her, according to the report. Brown allegedly jumped up again and threatened to shoot the officer while grabbing onto the pistol grip of his firearm, according to an affidavit.
“She then repeated, ‘I will f------ shoot you,’ while her hand was on my firearm,” the officer alleged. “I shouted for her to stop as I went to sweep her hand off my firearm. While this happened, (a) firefighter saw what Meghan had done and he also pushed Meghan away from me and he grabbed onto her arm.”
The officer holstered his Taser and both men were able to handcuff her, according to the report.
Brown was taken to Concord Hospital and medically cleared, allegedly with a 0.35 blood alcohol level. Paperwork was also drawn up to have her return to the hospital after sobering up at the Merrimack County House of Corrections. Brown was held on $5,000 cash bail and arraigned the next day.
According to posts on Patch, Brown has been arrested a number of times in the past couple of years.
Last August, Brown was arrested for disorderly conduct after residents at the Alton Woods apartment complex complained that she was reportedly out of control and threatening her neighbors. Back in February, she was arrested on numerous driving while intoxicated charges after striking a snowbank on Loudon Road. In May, she was arrested again on a breach of bail charge after reportedly being intoxicated and allegedly trying to steal a bike from Alton Woods.
