Yoga With Marianne, 50+ Educators For Biden: FITN 2020 Roundup
Plus: Pre-Halloween candidate filings; ads on the air; Rubens hosts Weld; Tulsi crashes b-day party; and Libertarians to host their own.

CONCORD, NH — Filing for the first-in-the-nation New Hampshire primary will begin the day before Halloween, on Wednesday Oct. 30, at the Secretary of State's Offie at the Statehouse in Concord. The last day for candidates to file will be Nov. 15.
In 2012, Fred Karger, the openly gay major party candidate to run for president, was the first to file, bringing along a big check. Who will it be this year?

The Biden campaign unveiled a slate of more than 50 educators around New Hampshire who were backing the former vice president. One, Dana Hilliard, the mayor of Somersworth, who is also a high school principal, is co-leading the national Educators for Biden effort, called him a champion for students and teachers.
"He understands that every single child in our state deserves a quality education, and that children can achieve the American Dream when they're given the right foundation to succeed," Hilliard said. "He also deeply understands the rigor and value of the work of teaching – and as president, will make critical investments in our future that are long overdue. As an educator, I'm proud to stand with Joe Biden."

Rubens To Intro Weld
While President Donald Trump has very high approval ratings with Republicans in the Granite State, some polls have him at 91 percent, he still has primary challengers.
One, former Mass. Gov. Bill Weld, who was the vice presidential nominee for the Libertarian Party in 2016, with Gary Johnson, has been making the rounds lately. Former state Sen. Jim Rubens, a Republican candidate for U.S. Senate in 2014, is hosting Weld at his home in Etna on Oct. 10.
Rubens said he and his wife were hosting Weld to "keep the New Hampshire primary vital and relevant" and with "a sense of duty to our nation's wellbeing."

Speaking Of Libertarians…
The Libertarian Party of New Hampshire will be holding a primary … but without the state's help and at zero cost to the taxpayer.
The party announced recently that its candidates will file for inclusion on the ballot for the state party, which will run concurrent with the filing period. When the ballot has been completed, party members who are eligible to be delegates to the state convention will receive a ballot by mail.
"We will demonstrate that we do not need the secretary of state’s permission to operate as a political party," said current LPNH Chairman Brian Shields. "We will hold a presidential primary preference election without using a nickel of stolen taxpayer wages, using modern voting methods and ballots, at a lower cost, and with a larger voter turnout than the other two dying parties."
