Tweedie: Thank You, District 24 Voters
Former GOP state Senate candidate says his supporters showed that there is no place for gutter politics in the district; will stay active.

HAMPTON, NH — Although I did not get the results I was working for on Tuesday evening, I can say without a doubt that my primary campaign to be your next state Senator was an amazing journey. Going door to door meeting people in all eleven towns was awesome and good for the sole (pun intended). It strengthened my five generations deep love of our NH seacoast.
I’d like to thank the many supporters who came out and cast a ballot for me. You showed me and everyone in this district that there is no place for gutter politics and that being a state Senator is all about serving other people, not tearing them down. I’d like to thank Jim Maggiore and Steve Kenda for running campaigns that were positive and focused on their vision for our district. They are good men and I wish them well.
I would be remised if I didn’t take a moment to thank our outgoing Senator, Nancy Stiles. Her support was unrelenting and positive. She is a role model for hard work, service, and class. I wish her well as she takes time to be with her amazing family.

I am unsure of what the future holds for me in politics, but I will tell you this: I will never stop being involved in my community and doing my part to make our Seacoast a better place to live and raise a family. I encourage you to do the same: Find something that excites and interests you and get involved. After all, we call home the best part of the best state, the Seacoast of New Hampshire.
Ray Tweedie lives in Rye.
