Alleged Welfare Fraudster, Others Indicted: Court Roundup

Alleged Amherst drug dealer indicted, Worcester man indicted for negligent homicide in 2012 Nashua crash, elderly habitual offender charged.

NASHUA, NH - The following individuals were indicted recently in Hillsborough County Superior Court:

John Barbuti Jr., 28, with a last known address of Quail Run in Hudson, for felony possession of a controlled drug (Clonazepam) on Nov. 9, 2015, in Nashua.

Chad Barlow, 32, with a last known address of Governors Lane in Nashua, for felony possession of a controlled drug (Suboxone), disobeying an officer, and operating after suspension, after a traffic stop on Main Dunstable Road in Nashua on Nov. 25, 2015.

Katherine E. Bathrick, 28, with no fixed address in Nashua, for felony possession of a controlled drug (cocaine) on Dec. 6, 2015, in Nashua.

James Bazinet, 51, of Penn Avenue in Worcester, MA, for felony negligent homicide. On Dec. 1, 2012, he allegedly caused the death of Sheryl Laitinen by reportedly driving under the influence of liquor and smashing into a tree on Searles Road in Nashua.

James Bidgood, 31, of Lynn Fells Parkway in Saugus, MA, for felony burglary. On Dec. 31, 2015, he allegedly burglarized an apartment on Sunshine Drive in Hudson.

David Blackledge, 72, of Clocktower Place in Nashua, for felony habitual offender. On Dec. 2, 2015, he allegedly drove on Pine Street in Nashua after being found to be a habitual offender in February 1996.

Eric Inglis, 29, of Danforth Road in Tyngsboro, MA, for conduct after an accident with personal injury or death, possession of controlled drug (heroin), reckless conduct, all felonies, as well as disobeying a police officer. On Oct. 7, 2015, he allegedly was involved in a crash on Split Brook Road, after reportedly speeding off an off ramp, and then fled the scene before leaving information to the other vehicle where a person was injured. Inglis also allegedly didn’t stop for a state trooper.

Shanda Johnson, 34, of West Hollis Street in Nashua, for felony welfare fraud. Between November 2013 and January 2015, she allegedly collected food stamps and medical benefits, in excess of $1,500, that she was not entitled to.

Andrew Lavoie, 28, of Willow Lane in Amherst, on three felony counts of sale of controlled drug (heroin). On Aug. 25, Sept. 3, and Sept. 9, 2015, he allegedly sold the drug to an individual working as an agent for the Nashua Police Department. Lavoie was previously convicted of possession of a controlled drug in Milford District Court in September 2005.

William Lambert, 34, of Twist Hill Road in Dunbarton, for felony fraudulent handling of recordable writings. On Aug. 5, 2015, in Nashua, he allegedly falsified six building plans by cutting out a surveyor’s stamp from a different building plan and attached it to the other plans while submitting them to the Hillsborough County Registry of Deeds for the purposing of deceiving the registry.
