Man Charged with Firing Gun Several Times Near Nashua Park

Nashua police on Saturday charged a city man with reckless conduct for allegedly firing a gun on Dickerman Street last week.
James Colby, 32, of 18 Oak Grove Trail, was charged with felony-level reckless conduct.
Police said on Thur., March 26 at about 11 p.m., Dickerman Street residents said they heard several gunshots and saw a vehicle flee the scene. Police said they found several .40-caliber shell casings on the ground. No one was hurt and it appeared no buildings were struck.

Police launched an investigation and soon identified Colby as the suspect. They obtained a search warrant and said they found a handgun and ammunition at his home linking him to the shooting. Colby’s home is about 5 miles from Dickerman Street, which is a short distance from Fields Corner and Rivier University.
Colby was taken into custody without incident and released on $7,500 bail pending an arraignment May 5.
