Merrimack Man Indicted In Knife Threat Case: Court Roundup

Plus: Manchester, Derry men accused of using vehicles during assaults; Nashua woman accused of dealing fentanyl; insurance fraud indictment.

NASHUA, NH — The following people were indicted recently in Hillsborough County Superior Court South.

Frank Owusu, 39, of Pine Street in Manchester on first-degree assault, second-degree assault, criminal threatening, and reckless conduct charges, all felonies. He was accused of driving a 2013 GMC Terrain erratically and crashing the vehicle causing injuries to an intimate partner in Merrimack on June 5.

Scott Phelan, 35, of Franklin Street in Worcester, Massachusetts, on a felony theft by unauthorized taking charge. He was accused of retaining unauthorized control over various tools between $1,000 and $1,500 at Home Depot on the Daniel Webster Highway in Nashua.

Catherine Quintero Nieves, 39, of Commercial Street in Nashua on two felony sale of controlled drug-fentanyl, para-fluorofentanyl charges from March 29 and March 30 in Nashua.

Alexi Ramos, 30, of Coburn Woods in Nashua on a felony theft by deception charge. He was accused of exercising control over more than $1,500 owned by a couple on Oct. 1, 2020, in Hudson.

Benjamin Rodriguez, 48, of Burns Hill Road in Nashua on a felony penalty; registration of criminal offenders charge. He was accused of failing to register with Hudson police on March 26.

Richard Russell, 57, of Lake Avenue in Manchester on forgery and attempted theft by unauthorized taking charge. He was accused of attempting to cash a check for $4,876 at TD Bank in Merrimack on July 9 in order to defraud Tri State Iron Works.

Katherine Santer, 29, of no fixed address in Nashua, on a felony theft by unauthorized taking charge. She was accused of stealing a Movado watch and Kafri headphone stand from a man on May 20. Twice before, according to the indictment, she has been convicted on theft charges.

Shain Sargent, 26, of Danbury Drive in Merrimack on a felony domestic violence-criminal threatening charge. He was accused of threatening a woman with a knife while stating, “I’m going to kill you,” or words to that effect on June 2 in Merrimack.

Adam A. Smith, 39, of Overlook Drive in Derry on conduct after accident and two second-degree assault charges, all felonies. He was accused of driving his vehicle into a woman, an intimate partner, and striking her in the leg on Pelham Street in Nashua on June 12 and failed to report the crash to police.

James Spaulding, 47, no fixed address in Nashua, on a felony possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute charge in Nashua on Oct. 21, 2020.

Robert Stanton, 47, of Oak Hill Lane in Nashua on a felony insurance fraud charge. Between April 20 and April 24 in Nashua, he was accused of submitting an accident claim of more than $1,500 for a crash that happened before he purchased a policy with GEICO.

Christina Stratton, 42, of Montgomery Street in Manchester on a felony controlled drug act; acts prohibited-buprenorphine charge on Jan. 8 in Merrimack.
