NHSP Make DUI, Drug Arrests On NH Interstates: Roundup
Plus: Licensing dealers and inspection stations audited; commercial vehicles stopped and inspected in Hampton, Salem, and Windham.

CONCORD, NH — New Hampshire State Police audited 55 licensed dealer and inspection stations in Belknap County last week for three days and found "multiple violations of the administrative rules," according to officials. Items discovered included failure to complete full inspections of motor vehicles that had received stickers, tampering with emissions by having the wrong vehicle plugged in at the time of inspection, missing required tools, and unaccounted inspected sticker backers. Staff Sgt. Steven Wheeler of Troop G, who was involved in the audit, said troopers were "committed to ensuring that licensed New Hampshire Dealer and Inspection stations continue to follow the administrative rules for the customers they serve."
More Commercial Vehicle Checks
Also last week, state police checked 122 commercial vehicles in an effort to reduce traffic collisions involving large vehicles. The inspection focused on trucks weighing 13 tons or less with officials trying to ensure that vehicles were safe, mechanically, and that drivers were in compliance with hours of service and proper licensing.
