Nashua Men Face Drug Charges After Multi-Month Investigation

After searching a home on Mountain View Street, Seth Shackford was accused of drug dealing while Paul Ouellette was accused of possession.

NASHUA, NH — Two men, one with prior drug history, were arrested on charges Monday in Nashua after a search of a home on Mountain View Street, according to police.

The case against Seth Shackford, 41, of Mountain View Street began in July after police received tips and information that he was "selling illicit narcotics within the city of Nashua," according to Lt. Joshua Albert of the Narcotics Intelligence Division. At the time, Shackford was already involved in two other cases, according to court documents: A controlled drug: drug enterprise leader charge out of Nashua from June 2019 and a felony controlled drug charge out of Salem from January 2019.

Albert said police searched Shackford's home and also his vehicle and filed felony possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute-methamphetamine; possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute-heroin/fentanyl; possession of a controlled drug-amphetamine/dextroamphetamine; possession of a controlled drug-oxycodone hydrochloride; possession of a controlled drug-morphine; and possession of a controlled drug-buprenorphine/naloxone charges as well as a dealing in or possessing prescription drugs-clonidine, misdemeanor charge against him. All of the charges were subsequent offenses, Albert said.

Also charged with felony acts prohibited; possession of a controlled drug-heroin/fentanyl was Paul Ouellette, 58, also of Mountain View Street in Nashua.

Both Shackford and Ouellette were released on bail and will have arraignment dates issued in Hillsborough County Superior Court South later.

According to court records, despite Shackford being indicted on the drug enterprise charge, it was nolle prossed on Sept. 29. However, he was convicted on a felony controlled drug charge out of Salem from January 2019 on Aug. 4. Back in May 2005, Shackford was also charged with acts prohibited; controlled drug in Concord but that charge was dismissed four months later.
