Massachusetts Amazon Driver Arrested On DWI, Drug Charges: Portsmouth Police Log

PORTSMOUTH, NH — Scot Jay Seader, 62, of York Street in York, Maine, was arrested at 6:39 p.m. on Nov. 15, 2022, on a conduct after an accident charge. He was arrested on a Portsmouth police warrant.

Nicholas J. Collins, 34, of Wilson Road in Portsmouth was arrested at 7:56 p.m. on Nov. 14 on default or breach of bail conditions, criminal threatening, criminal threatening-domestic violence, resisting arrest or detention, and four simple assault charges. Police were sent to Wilson Road for an open line call. Dispatch heard noise in the background. A man later fled the area. A K-9 was requested to the area. Later, a man was found near Market Basket and detained.

Belinda Smith, 37, of Merriam Street in Berwick, ME, was cited at 12:35 p.m. on Nov. 14 on a driving after revocation or suspension-second offense charge after a motor vehicle stop at Deer and Russell streets.

Steven J. Rowbotham, 53, of Mildred Avenue in Raymond was arrested at 9:03 p.m. on Nov. 4 on a bench warrant as well as driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated-second offense, driving after revocation or suspension, conduct after an accident, and default or breach of bail conditions charges. Also arrested was Allison Hunt, 53, of Sandalwood Circle in Kittery, ME, on a false report to law enforcement. Police were sent to Lafayette Road after a vehicle hit a utility pole. Two men and a woman were out with the vehicle, a report said. When police arrived, they were accused of fleeing the scene. The woman was found near Water Country while a man was detained, police said.

John C. Kern Sr., 62, of an unknown address in Dover, was arrested on a criminal trespass charge at 10:33 a.m. on Oct. 12. A landscaping crew on Lafayette Road found a man sleeping near the Salvation Army store on Route 1. Police were then called and he was arrested.

Dalton J. Bayliss, 28, of Weald Road in Portsmouth was arrested at 8:06 a.m. on Oct. 10 on stalking and default or breach of bail conditions charges. He was arrested on a warrant and taken to the Rockingham County Jail.

Tyler J. Purpora, 25, of South Broadway in Lawrence, Massachusetts, was arrested at 11:30 a.m. on Oct. 9 on driving while intoxication and possession of controlled-narcotics drug charges. Police received reports about an Amazon Sprinter van all over the road on the northbound side of Interstate 95. The witness accused the driver of zig-zagging on the road, almost hitting another vehicle. At the intersection of Lafayette Road and Peverly Hill Road, the vehicle was pulled over, the driver was given a field sobriety test, and arrested. Police reported there was damage to the van.

Heather L. Leavitt, 47, of Long Hill Road in Dover was arrested at 12:23 a.m. on Oct. 6 on a driving after suspension charge. She was arrested after a motor vehicle offense at State and Middle streets.

Martha L. Lee, 59, of Dock Road in York, ME, was arrested at 11:44 p.m. on Oct. 5 on driving while intoxicated and speed charges as well as three yellow line violations. She was pulled over at the intersection of the Route 1 Bypass and Maplewood Avenue and arrested after a field sobriety test.
