Portsmouth Police Investigating Another Untimely Death

Another week, another untimely death during the weekend being investigated by the Portsmouth Police Department.
Police are reporting the Sara Bigelow, 34, of York, Maine, was pronounced dead on Saturday afternoon. According to an alert, first responders were called to Gosling Road for a medical call at around 1:20 p.m. on Nov. 15. She was later pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is an active one as the state’s medical examiner has declared the death to be “untimely.” No other information was available at post time but police are asking for the public’s help in finding out anyone that may have been around her before the death or any other information that might be helpful to investigators.

According to online reports, Bigelow was arrested last November for conspiracy to commit sale of a controlled drug, heroin, and a breach of bail charge. A friend of hers on Facebook stated earlier today that she had just moved in with her mother in Maine and she seemed good.

Bigelow’s death is the fourth untimely death or heroin overdose in the last five weeks in Portsmouth. One person has been arrested in connection with one of the deaths.
Portsmouth Police have also been involved in extensive sweeps in recent days, attempting to clear the city’s streets of drugs.
