Accused Aggravated Drunk Drivers Indicted: Rockingham County Roundup
Hampton, Hudson men indicted on sexual assault charges; Newmarket man indicted on 11 child sexual abuse counts; thief indicted on charges.

BRENTWOOD, NH — A Rockingham County grand jury indicted the following people recently.
David William Playda Chestnut, 20, of Mast Road in Manchester, on reckless conduct-deadly weapon and aggravated driving while intoxicated charges, both felonies. He was accused of driving a Toyota Camry recklessly, at approximately 100 mph, while drunk on Route 101 in Candia on April 23, 2024, and crashing causing injury to two people. Chad Collins, 27, of Cedar Street in Hudson, on aggravated felonious sexual assault and felonious sexual assault charges, both felonies, as well as sexual assault-aggravated circ and two sexual assault-sexual contact charges. He was accused of repeatedly sexually assaulting a girl in Newmarket between March 1, 2017, and June 30, 2017.

Mathew Contreras, 27, of Great Bay Woods in Newmarket, on 11 felony counts of possession of child sexual abuse images. He was accused of possessing videos of children being raped on June 4, 2024, in Newmarket.
Sarah Curtis, 37, of Spring Street in Farmington, on willful concealment and two theft by unauthorized taking charges, all felonies. She stole merchandise from Famous Footwear in Epping on May 23, 2024, concealed merchandise from Ulta Beauty in Epping and merchandise from The Paper Store in Epping on June 21, 2024, according to the indictments. Twice before, Curtis has been convicted on theft charges.

Horace Desrochers, 81, of Mill Road in Hampton, on a felony aggravated felonious sexual assault-extended term charge. He was accused of sexually assaulting a girl between May 1, 2010, and Oct. 1, 2014.
Chad J. Diaz, 44, of Manchester Street in Manchester, on theft by deception and forgery charges, both felonies. He was accused of writing a check to himself for $4,915.20 on the TD Bank account of Quick Stop Tire Shop in Portsmouth on May 5, 2023.
Jazmin Mary Diaz Barrientos, 23, of Central Street in Newmarket, on felony second-degree assault, reckless conduct, and two criminal threatening charges, all felonies. She was accused of jabbing a knife at patrons of the Press Room in Portsmouth on June 22, 2024.
Wilfredo Alexanders Diaz Landaverde, 23, of Boston Street in Lynn, Massachusetts, on felony robbery and theft by unauthorized taking-less than $1,000 charges. He was accused of stealing merchandise — including Under Armor, Hugo Boss, and Calvin Klein, by force from Macy’s at the Mall at Rockingham Park in Salem on May 22, 2024, bumping the shoulder of or punching an employee.
Patrick Douglas Dunigan, 37, of Cypress Street in Manchester, on a felony habitual offender charge. He was accused of driving in the Derry Walmart parking lot on April 1, 2024, after being deemed a habitual offender by the NH DMV.
Sharon M. Gonet, 70, of New Boston Road in Kingston, on a felony assault by a prisoner charge. She was accused of biting the finger of a corrections officer at the Rockingham County Jail in Brentwood on Aug. 3, 2024.
James Edward Griffin, 25, of Dame Road in Newmarket, on a felony aggravated driving while intoxicated, aggravated DUI-0.16-plus, and DWI charges. He was accused of driving while drunk, crashing his vehicle, and causing a hip fracture on March 9, 2024, in Newmarket.
Steven Jeffrey Hebert, 42, of 6th Street in Leominster, MA, on a felony reckless conduct, felony receiving stolen property, aggravated DUI-30-plus, disobeying an officer, and operating without a valid license charges. He was accused of driving on Interstate 95 in Portsmouth while intoxicated, at a high rate of speed, swerving across multiple lanes, and nearly losing control of the stolen 2012 Toyota Camry on July 8, 2024.
