Convicted Bank Robber Arrested For Bank Robbery Again in Derry
Seamus Murphy was arrested Wednesday, accused of robbing the People's United Bank in Derry.

DERRY, NH — A convicted bank robber is accused of robbing another bank Wednesday in Derry. Police were sent to the People's United Bank on Crystal Avenue around 1:30 p.m. for a report of a man robbing the bank and fleeing the area. Bank employees, police noted on Facebook, gave a description of the suspect and stated that he was not armed.
Officers searched the area and saw a man fitting the description on Crystal Avenue entering a Wendy's Restaurant. After speaking with the man, later identified as Seamus Murphy, 37, of an unknown address, they took him into custody.
Murphy was charged with one felony count of robbery and held without bail. Police accused him of being in possession of "an undisclosed amount of cash." Clothing was also found matching a description given by bank employees not far from the area where Murphy was first spotted.
