CONCORD, NH — Tips from the public assisted the U.S. Marshals NH Joint Fugitive Task Force in quickly locating and arresting this week's Fugitive of the Week at around noon on Thursday. Seamus Ian Murphy, 37, was convicted on a bank robbery charge and sentenced to 51 months in prison a little more than three years ago. At some point, he was paroled.

But since that time, the U.S. District Court has accused him of a supervised release violation. A warrant was issued for his arrest about a month ago and officials have been searching for him since, according to Deputy Marshal Jeffrey White.

"Several tips were received by the (task force) pointing to a possible employer and residence on Fremont Street in Chester," White said. "As a result of this information, members of the task force went to this location today shortly after noontime and were able to locate and arrest Mr. Murphy without any incident."
