Derry Man Indicted On Rape, Child Sexual Abuse Image Charges: Roundup

BRENTWOOD, NH — A Rockingham County grand jury indicted the following people recently.

Sean D. Bailey, 29, of Sunset Avenue in Derry on an aggravated felonious sexual assault, possession of child sexual abuse images, and three manufacture of child sexual abuse images charges, all felonies. He was accused of raping a girl and creating videos between Jan. 1, 2022, and July 19, 2023, and possessing a video between June 16 and July 19, 2023, in Derry.

Tyler R. Batey, 29, of George Street in Hampden, Maine, on a felony possession of a controlled drug-marijuana with intent to sell charge in Portsmouth on Dec. 2, 2022.

Dain A. Blackadar, 33, of Mill Street in Springfield, Massachusetts, on a felony theft by unauthorized taking charge. He was accused of obtaining control over a truck owned by Kady Landscaping on Jan. 31, 2023, in Exeter.

Mark A. Brave, 38, of South Street in Tewksbury, MA, on theft by deception, two counts of falsifying physical evidence, and five perjury charges. He was accused of altering documents and filing false statements connected to credit card purchases using a county credit card for personal use, and repeatedly lying to a grand jury between May and December 2022. Brave, a Democrat, is the former sheriff of Strafford County.

Joshua John Brazeau, 31, of Eastwood Drive in Portsmouth on theft by deception and forgery charges, both felonies. He was accused of cashing a fake check for $4,821.60 from the Citizens Bank account of Concord Terrace in Derry on Aug. 11, 2022.

Nicholas Alexander Starkey, 35, of Harvard Street in Hooksett on forgery and theft by deception charges, both felonies. He was accused of trying to cash a fake check for $4,375.20 on the account of Century Leasing Corp. on March 9, 2023, in Derry.

Matthew Freeman Stevens, 27, of Middle Road in Deerfield on two felony domestic violence-criminal threatening with a deadly weapon charges. He was accused of threatening to use guns or a knife to hurt an intimate partner and her boyfriend or words to that effect on July 26, 2023, in Derry.

Tyler William Sullivan, 31, of Central Street in Derry on a felony falsifying physical evidence charge. He was accused of concealing a cell phone, giving it to another person, and telling them to hide it or words to that effect to impair an investigation on Sept. 2, 2023, in Derry.

Ralph Swayze Jr., 24, of 3rd Street in Mount Vernon, Washington, on a felony second-degree assault-domestic violence-strangulation charge. He was accused of strangling an intimate partner on Nov. 15, 2022, in Portsmouth.

Christopher A. Tilley, 40, of Whittier Drive in Seabrook on two felony aggravated felonious sexual assault charges. He was accused of raping a woman between April 5 and April 9, 2022, in Seabrook.
