Essex County Teen Reported Missing Amid Major Snowstorm, Police Say

Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a teen who went missing in Essex County during a major snowstorm.

David O. Clark, 17, of Newark, was reported missing on Sunday, according to the Newark Department of Public Safety.

Man Airlifted To Hospital After Liquid Accelerant Burns

A 72-year-old man was airlifted by a medical helicopter to a burn unit at a hospital after suffering burns while lighting a fire pit at his home in Monmouth County, according to media reports.

NJ.com reports that the man was lighting the outdoor fire at his home on Second Street in Howell at about 11:20 a.m. with a liquid accelerant, when the wind turned and blew it back on him, Howell Police Sgt. Nicholas Bondarew said Sunday.

Jersey City Bans ICE From Using City Properties

James Soloman, Jersey City's new mayor, signed an executive order Friday banning U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents from using all city-owned property, according to media reports.

According to NJ.com, the executive order prohibits ICE agents from using Jersey City’s parking lots, vacant lots, parks and garages.

Toms River Man Killed As Drunk Driver Ran Red Light On Route 37, Prosecutor Says

A Toms River man is facing multiple charges after a Route 37 crash on Friday that killed another Toms River man, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office said.

Jamie Doyle, 40, has been charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended driver’s license while involved in a motor vehicle crash causing the death of another, and multiple motor vehicle offenses, Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said.

Angry Man Shatters MVC Office Door Over Registration Denial, Police Say

A Monmouth County man shattered a door at the Motor Vehicles Commission office after he was told he didn't have the right documents to register a vehicle, Lakewood police said.

Mingo Kersey Jr., 57, of Asbury Park, has been charged with criminal mischief in the incident that happened about 10:45 a.m. Jan. 9 at the Lakewood MVC office on Route 70, police said.
