2nd Man Charged In Berkeley Road Rage Stabbing: Police
The man operated his vehicle while intoxicated with children on board on the night of the January incident, police said.
Following an investigation of a stabbing that stemmed from a Berkeley road-rage incident, police said they discovered a second person involved in the altercation operated his vehicle while intoxicated with children inside.
Salvatore Murante Jr., 37, of Beachwood was charged with aggravated assault against Scott Moore and two counts of child endangerment, Berkeley police announced Thursday. The charges stem from a Jan. 23 stabbing incident on Veterans Boulevard near Harding Avenue, police said.
By the time Berkeley police arrived to the incident, Moore fled the scene, the BTPD said. Moore, 55, of Elizabeth Ave. in Bayville, called police shortly after with his location and involvement in the altercation, according to police.

Moore was charged that night with aggravated assault and weapon possession for an unlawful purpose, police said. Police took him to the hospital after Moore reported cut wounds on his hands, the BTPD said.
Murante was not named in the original January announcement. Police said they also found an open container in his vehicle. Murante was processed and released on a summons, police said.
