Ex-Chatham Teacher Mourned By District
Meghan Marohn taught at Chatham High School for more than 10 years, up until 2017, according to officials.

CHATHAM, NJ — The search for a former Chatham teacher who went missing in late March came to an end last week when human remains believed to be those of Meghan Marohn were discovered in Massachusetts.
Marohn's family reported her missing on March 29, and Lee Police found her unattended vehicle that same day at Longcope Park. Since then, police have conducted numerous searches for Marohn, and the circumstances surrounding her disappearance are still being investigated.
"Those of us who worked with Meghan here in Chatham remember her as a kind, intelligent, dedicated educator who spent both her days and evenings at CHS trying to be the best teacher she could be for kids," Chatham Superintendent Michael LaSusa said.

Several former students spoke highly of Marohn in a Chatham High School video from 2016.
"Many of her colleagues in the English department, in particular, have been devastated by her disappearance and now the news of her discovery. We all send our deepest sympathies to her family during this time and we hope that they find some peace in knowing the positive impact that Meghan had on her students and the people with whom she worked," LaSusa said.
