In 2017, Brown was sentenced to seven years incarceration for first-degree robbery and second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon for an armed robbery that took place in Mount Holly in 2015.
He and Kavon Carter, of Lumberton, admitted to robbing a Mount Holly man at gunpoint on Hulme Street on May 7, 2015. They admitted that they approached him as he walked home from the gas station at which he worked and demanded the keys from the safe, authorities said previously.
When the man said he was unable to access the safe, Carter and Brown walked him to his house, where they were chased off by his relatives, authorities said. They were arrested a short time later, and police said they recovered the gun used in the crime.
Carter was sentenced to eight years in state prison on charges of second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon and third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute.
Tifani Young Jr., of Pemberton Township, was previously convicted on charges of first-degree witness tampering, first-degree robbery and second-degree conspiracy to commit robbery in the case.
A jury found that Young was the getaway driver in the crime. Young was sentenced to 25 years in state prison in 2017.
All three are alleged members of the Gotti Boy Movement (GBM) street gang, which is associated with the Bloods, according to authorities.
