He didn’t close the rear hatch, so items were falling out of the minivan as Andreini fled.
Police chased Andreini to the Riverton Road jughandle, where his car crashed into a telephone pole.
Suddenly unable to use the vehicle, Andreini fled on foot across Route 130. He was the vehicle’s only occupant.
Police caught up to Andreini at Route 130 South and Riverton Road. Andreini allegedly physically resisted arrest, but he was eventually subdued by police, who handcuffed him.
He was treated for minor injuries before being transported to Burlington County Jail.
No bystanders or officers were injured in the course of events.
Through an investigation, Cinnaminson Police learned Andreini allegedly broke into the home through the garage and was allegedly in the process of stealing multiple items when he was discovered.
Many of these items fell out of the back of the van during the chase, and were recovered, police said.
Cinnaminson Police also said they are very grateful for the witness that reported the suspicious activity.
“If it were not for that phone call this suspect would not have been caught,” police said.
