How is 9/11 Being Remembered in South Jersey?
A list of events taking place in South Jersey in honor of the victims of 9/11.

This week marks the 14th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
While there may not be much attention being paid to this year’s anniversary, there are plenty of events taking place throughout South Jersey to honor the victims who lost their lives that fateful day, including 24 from Camden, Burlington, Mercer, Gloucester, Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland and Salem counties, and at least one possible victim whose body was never found by her family.
Below is a sample of events taking place in South Jersey in remembrance of 9/11.

- Ocean City will hold its annual memorial on Friday night, 7 p.m.
- The Chews Landing Fire Department in Gloucester Township will hold a memorial on Friday morning, 7 a.m.
- The Burlington County 200 Club will hold a 9/11 Prayer Breakfast Friday morning in Moorestown, 7:30 a.m.
- Habitat for Humanity Burlington County will honor 9/11 victims at a duplex built for two military families in need in Cinnaminson Friday morning, 9 a.m.
- Rowan College at Burlington County is holding a weeklong tribute to honor 9/11 victims.
- Mercer County will host a memorial Friday morning at Mercer County College, 11 a.m.
- Rider University will hold a flag-lowering ceremony Friday morning, 8:45 a.m.
- The Cherry Hill Fire Department will hold a memorial service Friday morning, 8:30, with a moment of silence at 8:42 a.m.
