No. 3 Cinnaminson Hosts Bordentown in First Round of Football Playoffs
The Pirates earned the third seed despite having the best record among Central Jersey Group II playoff teams, according to nj.com.

In the end, the Cinnaminson High School football team ended up in third place.
In a season in which the Pirates (7-1) kept winning but saw their spot in the NJSIAA Central Jersey Group II standings fluctuate, they ended up with the No. 3 seed in the playoffs following their win in the regular season finale against Pemberton, according to playoff pairings posted on nj.com.
Cinnaminson will host No. 6 Bordentown (6-2) Friday night, 7 p.m.

It will be the second time this season the teams play. Cinnaminson defeated Bordentown, 35-28, on Sept. 26 behind three touchdowns from Nick Thevanayagam and two touchdown runs from Aaron Elly.
Despite having the best record in the field, the Pirates were seeded third behind two, two-loss teams.

Roselle (6-2) earned the No. 1 seed, and Rumson -Fair Haven (6-2) earned the No. 2 seed.
Power points are used to determine the eight teams who make the playoffs. They are calculated based on the size of the schools a team has defeated, and the number of wins that team has.
From this point on, it doesn’t matter which team had the most power points. Whoever keeps winning will the title.

No. 8 Lakewood (4-4) at No. 1 Roselle (6-2), Saturday, 1 p.m.
No. 5 Delaware Valley (5-3) at No. 4 Spotswood (6-3), Saturday, 1 p.m.
No. 7 Johnson (4-4) at No. 2 Rumson-Fair Haven (6-2), Friday, 7 p.m.
No. 6 Bordentown (6-2) at No. 3 Cinnaminson (7-1), Friday 7 p.m.
