The Cinnaminson Police Department has received several reports from victims being asked for money to be wired oversees to help a grandchild.

The victims were told the grandchild was arrested and needed nail money. The third-party was able to give the name of the grand child and some limited personal information.

In one incident a grandparent was asked to wire $180,000 to the Dominican Republic to have his grandson released.

The police ask all residents to be cautious any time someone asks them to wire money. If you receive a call of this nature, contact your local police department.
