51-Year Fair Lawn Police Officer Promoted To Chief Before He Retires
Kenneth Pfeiffer received the honor from Mayor John Cosgrove.

FAIR LAWN, N.J. — A man with more than half a century of giving back to the community was honored for his work at a recent council meeting.
Kenneth Pfeiffer, a 51-year auxiliary police officer who is retiring from the organization, was promoted to auxiliary police chief by Mayor John Cosgrove at the Borough Council's Dec. 13 meeting.
The police department is moving from using auxiliary police officers to using special class one police officers.

Emergency Management Coordinator Wendy Alvarez honored Special Police Chief Nicholas Magarelli and Pfeiffer during the meeting for their years of service and leadership with the auxiliary police force.
