Arson Not Suspected In Fatal Fair Lawn Blaze

Two women were killed and one Fair Lawn police officer was injured in the group home blaze, authorities said.

There is no indication of arson caused the fatal fire at a Fair Lawn group home early Tuesday morning, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said.

The fire at 23-10 Berkshire Road started in an upstairs bedroom, Molinelli said.

Four residents in their 50s and 60s lived in the group home run by the Alliance Against Homelessness, police said. Two were killed and two were injured.
