FAIR LAWN, NJ — A borough woman was charged with attempted murder and making a false police report after she shot someone in the face and then lied about it, the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office announced.

The Fair Lawn Police Department received a 911 call Oct. 26 of a man being shot at a Maple Avenue apartment complex, Calo said.

Authorities later discovered that Peeples shot the person and that she, Mitchell, and Lee lied to authorities, implicating other people in the shooting, Calo said.
