Former Officer From Fair Lawn Sentenced To 3 Years In Sexting Case: Report

Eric Reamy, 52, of Glen Rock, also pawned guns the Glen Rock Police Department had, authorities said.

FAIR LAWN, N.J. — A police sergeant from Fair Lawn who worked with juveniles was sentenced to three years for sexting two teenage girls he was supposed to be supervising.

Eric Reamy, 52, was arrested in August 2015 and accepted a plea deal in March after a months-long investigation that began after the mother of a 17-year-old girl showed police "inappropriate" messages from Reamy she found on her daughter's cellphone. He had been the police department's juvenile officer. Reamy had been a 27-year veteran of the Glen Rock Police Department.

Authorities discovered another victim, a 14-year-old girl, who Reamy sent pictures of his genitals to, the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office said when Reamy was charged. The girl sent Reamy a topless photo of herself at his request, authorities said.
