Glen Rock Fair Lawn CSA Back For 2020 Season

Starting June 9, the CSA will run for 24 weeks featuring delivery of locally grown organic fruits and vegetables.

FAIR LAWN, NJ — The Glen Rock Fair Lawn CSA is back for 2020, and the 24-week programs begins June 9.

The CSA — or Community Supported Agriculture — program, offers delivery of locally grown, organic vegetables and fruit.

The Glen Rock Fair Lawn CSA receives its vegetables from Circle Brook Farm in Sussex County, an 80-acre, USDA-certified all-organic operation, according to a news release. The fruit comes from a farm in the Hudson Valley that uses an eco-growing process.

Each week, CSA members come to a pick up site in Fair Lawn to receive their share of produce for the week. Members also take turns helping with the set-up and clean-up.

“We have a vibrant organic farming industry in New Jersey,” said Amy Dennis, CSA coordinator, who serves as a volunteer. “We get a marvelous bounty, a day or two after it is picked. This is an amazing resource for us in Bergen County. Those who want to see the local farming sector thrive should support it by joining a CSA.”
