Saddle Brook Man Works To Raise Money For Child Blood Cancer Patients
Matt Basilo is competing with others to raise the most money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

SADDLE BROOK, NJ — A borough resident who works to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society has been nominated by the organization for its annual Man of the Year Award.
Matt Basilo is a marketing coordinator with WithumSmith+Brown PC and spearheads the Withum Week of Caring and helps support the LLS. He has also worked with the Volunteer Center of Bergen County Bike tour and the Special Olympics.
Basilo will compete with other nominees across the country to raise the most money for the LLS. The person who raises the most money is named man or woman of the year.

Basilo's goal is to raise $50,000 through his team, Team Strength.
"Through your generosity and assistance, I am confident that we can surpass my goal and that we can come one step closer to curing leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma," Basilo said on his team's webpage. "And until then, we can help to improve the quality of life of patients and their family."

The competition ends June 15.
“We commend Matt on earning this distinction and, collectively, look forward to helping him achieve his goal of honoring a local child, who is a blood cancer survivor, by raising the most funds in his or her name,” said Kirk Holderbaum, partner-in-charge of Withum's Morristown office where Basilo works. “His efforts and commitment to helping combat blood cancer and supporting its youngest patients is truly admirable.”
