Watch Fair Lawn Firefighters Battle IHOP Blaze

Two Fair Lawn firefighter were injured fighting the early-morning blaze last week, authorities said.

FAIR LAWN, NJ — Video has been released of the fire that ripped through the IHOP restaurant on Broadway Wednesday.

The 11-minute long video shows smoke billowing out of the roof and then flames. Radio communications between firefighters and first responders can be heard throughout the video.

Two Fair Lawn firefighters received minor injuries battling the blaze.

Officer Javier Gutierrez was on patrol when he saw heavy smoke coming from the restaurant at 37-13 Broadway, Sgt. Brian Metzler previously said.

The Fair Lawn, Glen Rock and other fire departments responded to the two-alarm blaze and brought it under control at 1:30 a.m.; the building was deemed unsafe to occupy, Metzler said.
