• Several police departments in Hunterdon, Morris and Sussex counties receive funding for 'Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over' campaign (wrnjradio.com) — Flemington's police department is receiving $2,800 to boost DWI patrols and checkpoints during New Jersey's 'Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over' campaign running through Sept. 7. Ten Hunterdon departments, plus agencies in Morris and Sussex, will step up enforcement as officials urge residents to plan sober rides and report suspected impaired drivers.
   

• HCRHS Senior Serves as Page on Capitol Hill (tapinto.net) — A Hunterdon Central Regional High School student from the Flemington area spent six months serving as one of just 30 U.S. Senate pages, sponsored by Sen. Andy Kim. She balanced early-morning duties on the Senate floor with AP coursework, witnessed major national debates and ceremonies, and says the experience deepened her appreciation for public service and discipline.
   

• Bogan, Picillo lead winners at NHRA Testo NHRA Chesapeake SPORTSnationals (dragchamp.com) — A Flemington, N.J., racer, Shawn Fricke, reached the Super Comp final at the NHRA Chesapeake SPORTSnationals before being edged out by Maryland's Jeff Kundratic. The event at Cecil County Dragway featured racers from across the East Coast, with full results listing winners in multiple drag racing classes and junior divisions.
