Before the start of the evening performance of 3 Po' Tenors a friend joked with me that there was no room on the lawn for attendees. This was the third time the 3 Po' Tenors, comprised of Anthony Tabish, Ted Thomas and Julian Hernandez, had tried to come to Fort Lee, but Irene or some other inclement weather got in the way. Saturday night 3 Po' Tenors were finally welcomed. The lawn was full to brimming with fans swooning and swaying, and a full moon and perfect weather graced a moving repertoire of Neopolitan and popular arias and songs. Hernandez wowed the audience, specifically the ladies, doing spot-on imitations of the likes of Nat King Cole, Louis Armstrong and Tom Jones. Appropriately, the evening ended with standing ovations, cheers, the waving of American flags, and a brief version of "Irene."
Goodbye Irene, Goodbye. What a season!
