The Ba-bie stooter mystery and a sad little mascot

Is it for anyone's taking if it's in the lost and found.....

Our little girl loves to go to her brother's baseball games and practices. I think she feels as much part of the team as any of the boys. She bides her time and entertains herself by playing and riding her  much awaited Birthday present from her brother,  her "pink Ba-bie stooter" (Barbie scooter).  She would ride it around, without a care in the world and lend it to any one who wanted to try, patiently waiting for the game or practice to complete. On Saturday, we forgot it at the field, but the good people there knew it was hers and put it in the lost in found, which is in the private clubhouse. Thankful to the goodness of people for thinking of our daughter and putting it in a safe place, her Dad and I went to retrieve her beloved toy on Sunday, not even a day later. Well, we looked and searched--- somebody had taken her pink Barbie scooter from the lost and found; disregarding the three places with her name written on it, disregarding the feelings of a child who had lost it. The mystery is not only why it was taken but the fact that they took it out of a private building, with a  lack of character and a sense of entitlement. She will get another in a day or two, but I hope that if anyone saw who may have ‘borrowed’ it or they themselves will return it to the field. She sat at breakfast this morning, shook her bowed head and said “yestooday was the worss-est day of my life, somebody took my pink Ba-bie stooter and they didn’t give it bock.”  I sat down to console her and thought that it's not an nice lesson to learn at five years old (and honestly it just ticks you off at forty). So now our girl  is a sad little mascot of her brother’s baseball team………..
