Bronx Man Arrested For Fort Lee Bank Robbery
BREAKING: Andres Dominguez, 38, faces 20 years in prison, if convicted. He is due in federal court

FORT LEE, N.J. — A Bronx, New York man was charged with robbing the Bank of New Jersey in Fort Lee.
Andrew Dominguez, 38, was charged with bank robbery and is scheduled to make his initial appearance before U.S. Magistrate Judge James B. Clark III in Newark federal court Thursday.
Dominguez allegedly entered the bank, approached one of the tellers, and jumped onto the counter, separating the tellers from customers, U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman said in a news release.

Holding a large kitchen knife, Dominguez demanded money and told the teller to give me all the money in the tellers' drawers and threatened to kill her if she did not, Fishman said.

The teller did as she was told and Dominguez then allegedly jumped back over the counter and fled the bank on foot, Fishman said.
While searching near the bank, law enforcement officials found a large kitchen knife from a dumpster behind the bank, Fishman said. They also found two blue rubber gloves, a gray hooded sweatshirt and a dark wool hat on the street a few blocks near the bank.
Authorities later found Dominguez in the Bronx and arrested him, Fishman said. Officials did not say how much was stolen from the bank.
Dominguez faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine if convicted.
