Democrats Fall Short in Budget Override Votes
Senate to meet again Tuesday on as many as 24 more issues

Democrats failed Monday to override cuts made by Gov. Chris Christie two weeks ago after he was sent a $30.6 million budget.
During the often intense three-hour Senate session, all 24 Democrats voted to restore the cuts, but no Republicans agreed, falling short of attaining the 27 votes needed to override the governor’s vetoes, northjersey.com reported.
Senate President Stephen Sweeney (D-Gloucester) said the Senate will return Tuesday to hash out up to 24 more issues.
