Fort Lee is growing and evolving into one of the most ethnically diverse communities in the United States. That makes it essential for Fort Lee residents to support each other in order to create unity and prosperity. One way for citizens to work toward a more cohesive community is to support new and current Fort Lee enterprises.

In 2014, there have been several new businesses that have recently joined the Fort Lee business community. Many of them are run by local residents who have a long history with Fort Lee and need our support in order to succeed. Long time residents of Fort Lee, Walid and Suzanne Elkhechen have been an integral part of the Fort Lee community for many years. Their children are graduates of Fort Lee High School where Ms. Elkhechen has been a highly respected teacher for many years. Ms. Elkhetchen is also the club advisor of the Future Business Leaders of America, mentoring students from the Academy of Finance.

Walid Elkhechen is the owner and proprietor of the O LaLa Hair Design, located on the same premises as Energy Zone. O LaLa is and has been a highly respected establishment in Fort Lee to its faithful clientele frequenting the salon. Walid has also been involved in Fort Lee youth sports as both a coach and a mentor to many student athletes.

Co-owners of Energy Zone are Svetlana and Igor Rybin, Cliffside Park residents. The Rybins have been involved for many years with promoting health through two enterprises, Immortality Healing and Mayan Remedies. They bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the “wellness” aspect of Energy Zone and Fort Lee residents should look forward to making their acquaintance. Energy Zone is far from a typical spa, where members hang out in a sauna or pool and relax, while having casual conversations with other members. Energy Zone specializes in designing a personalized regimen for each member, introducing them to treatments and therapies to improve their general health and well-being.

In the community, Suzanne Elkhechen holds workshops to build awareness of the benefits of maintaining positive habits toward improving one’s health. Energy Zone holds seminars to introduce clients to new and “old” techniques, as exemplified by their most recent seminar on Saturday, November 15th titled “21st Century Healing - Modern Technology Meets Ancient Wisdom”. The guest speaker was Swamiji Sadashiva Tirtha, the author of the Amazon #1 bestseller, The Ayurveda Encyclopedia, and who has presented to the White House Commission on alternative medicine. The obvious goal is to offer members a comprehensive program tailor-made to the need of the client.
