Fort Lee Fire Prevention Bureau Gets $1,800 Grant

The money will be used to help local fire investigators more efficiently investigate and determine the cause of fires.

FORT LEE, NJ — The borough's Fire Prevention Bureau received a $1,800 grant recently.

The grant was from FM Global, one of the world's largest commercial property insurers. The money will be used to help borough fire investigators more efficiently investigate and determine the cause of fires.

“We truly appreciate partners like FM Global who enable us to do so much more than we could normally," said Fort Lee's Fire Prevention Official. "The equipment we are acquiring with this grant will allow us to conduct fire investigations properly.”

FM Global awards grants to fire departments that best demonstrate a need for funding, where dollars can have the most demonstrable impact on preventing fire, or mitigating the damage it can quickly cause.
