NY Giants Host Bergen Boy Whose Wheelchair Was Stolen

Courtney Machiri, who suffers from cerebral palsy, had his wheelchair stolen from outside his apartment complex last month.

A Leonia teenager with cerebral palsy whose wheelchair was stolen got to attend a New York Giants game Thursday in his new, motorized wheelchair.

Courtney Machiri was given a new motorized wheelchair after Michael Peralta, 18, allegedly stole his other one and took it for a "joyride," last month.

Detective Michael Jennings reached out to the Giants to see if Machiri, who is a huge Giants fan, could attend their training camp and meet some of the players, police said.
