Monday night The Fort Lee Historical Society hosted a reception featuring former PR man Sol Abrams as it opened its Palisades Amusement Park exhibit on exactly the date the park closed 40 years ago, September 12, 1971. A certificate of appreciation was bestowed by Vice President Lou Azzollini on behalf of The Fort Lee Historical Society and free refreshments were provided by Wendys, as a host of well wishers gathered to meet Abrams and see the exhibit. Among those present was Vincent Gargiulio, who did a documentary, "Palisades Amusement Park: A Century of Fond Memories" that featured Abrams years ago.
