Viewfinder: Film Festival Culminates With Movie Star’s Appearance
Viewfinder is a weekly look at the community through the camera lens. This week, we have images from actor Jon Seda's recent appearance at the Fort Lee Community Center, where he introduced the final screening of HBO's "The Pacific."
Actor Jon Seda, who starred in the HBO miniseries "The Pacific," helped wrap up the five-week Cliffhanger Spring Film Festival Saturday at the Fort Lee Community Center, introducing the final screening and accepting the Fort Lee Film Commission’s 2011 Lewis J. Selznick Award.
“The award is presented each year in the name of studio pioneer Lewis J. Selznick, who operated World Pictured Corporation in Fort Lee in 1914 and later Peerless Studio,” wrote Film Commission executive director Tom Meyers in a blog post on Patch.
The film festival, which was co-sponsored by the Fort Lee V.F.W., spotlighted the life of New Jersey-born Word War II hero and Medal of Honor recipient Sgt. John Basilone.
