Free Activities for the Kids at the Absecon Lighthouse

National Lighthouse Day is Wednesday, August 7th!

Next week, the Absecon Lighthouse will participate in National Lighthouse Day. Revel Casino will be hosting the Revel Family Arts Festival at the Lighthouse with free family friendly activities from 10 am to 2 pm at the Absecon Lighthouse.

Kids will learn about several types of art from local artists and be able to try it out themselves.

Learn about

  • Painting by muralist Linda Wexler
  • Spoken Word by Joey Collepardi of Sensamotion Band
  • Drum Circle by Brian Johnson of Herban Legends
  • Dance by Atlantic City Ballet

The art supplies will be provided for children to create projects.

In addition to the art-themed activities, children 12 and under will be able to climb the Absecon lighthouse for free from 10 am to 4:30 pm.


Registration is not required and there is no fee to participate but children must be accompanied by an adult. The raindate is Thursday, August 8th.

Funding for the program is provided in part by the NJ State Council on the Arts, administered by the Atlantic County Office of Cultural and Heritage Affairs and Revel Casino Hotel.
